Just over two years ago, I tweeted, “I just launched the biggest and boldest thing I’ve ever done.” I wasn’t lying. I’d been using Fancy Hands for months before the launch, but I still wasn’t sure if anybody else would want to use it… much less pay for it.
It started slow. The site got some…
This looks awesome, guys!!
I say, that what you say, is what I say.
My family surprised me with tickets to Newsies for my birthday! (which isn’t for another few days) All the songs that were from the movie were great! And the dancing was awesome! The song additions and changes of characters….I’ll deal. : )
RIP: Maurice Sendak, at 83: Maurice Sendak, the beloved author and illustrator of Where The Wild Things Are, has died after complications from a recent stroke. He was 83.
Sendak won nearly every major book award, including the Caldecott Medal, considered the Pulitzer Prize of children’s book illustration. He had lived with his partner, Eugene Glynn, for 50 years before Glynn’s death in 2007.
Watch an excerpt from the documentary Tell Them Anything You Want: A Portrait of Maurice Sendak here.

He was a cool dude
“The Life of Julia” is pretty much a slam-dunk for the Obama communications campaign.
kind of weird they didn’t consult me on this…I cut my hair short at 21 and that is not represented.
So Bunnay’s death was really unexpected yesterday. He was totally normal Monday night, running around and chomping on hay and almonds as usual. I knew something was wrong Tuesday morning when I woke up without him sitting on my back or sniffing my face. I brought him to the vet and they said he had an infection in his stomach (in most cases when this happens the rabbit has about 12 hours to live), but there wasn’t anything they could do. The poor little guy was just too sick. He died shortly after.
This will be my last post about him, it makes me too sad.
Besides chewing on everything I owned, his favorite thing by far was relaxin. What a silly Bun he was.
“I’m a special victims prosecutor.”
“What does that mean?”
“I represent children, the elderly, and rape victims.”
Real life Mariska!
Jake’s parent’s dog is having PUPPIES! This is Jake and I in the future playing with them.
You guys must have known this was coming - this week on The Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin Show my guest is Jake Goldsbie aka Toby from Degrassi. Above is a picture of us on Skype, and the conversation that happened immediately after we recorded the episode.
I think this is one of the best Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin Shows yet. Okay, yes. It’s my second episode about Degrassi - but the last one was an interview with the writers who have a different perspective on the show. Even if for some odd reason you’re not obsessed with Degrassi, you’ll still probably be interested in hearing what it’s like to be on a hit television show from ages 12-17. Jake’s 23 now and I think the distance has given him a lot of interesting insight into the experience. He’s also currently writing for the AV Club Toronto, which is pretty sweet.
The Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin Show comes out every Tuesday and is available iTunes, YouTube, and JeffRubinJeffRubinShow.com. The iTunes version only works in iTunes/iOS devices, but has pictures.
(reminder of how much I like Degrassi - I once made a Degrassi supercut of every freeze frame from seasons 1 - 4)
While every episode of the Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin Show is great, this one is EXCEPTIONAL.
Anyone make the switch from a wacom tablet to a Cintiq? Is it worth it? I was thinking about starting to save up for this little one http://www.wacom.com/en/Products/Cintiq/Cintiq12WX.aspx. Does it make a significant difference?
