I took corporate finance and valuation with Prof. Aswath Damodaran as a student at NYU Stern and they were two of THE BEST classes I’ve taken and I’ve taken a lot of classes.
Now Damodaran is offering the opportunity for anyone to take his classes online for free. This is an amazing opportunity and if you’ve ever thought that you would like to start a business or just know more about running a business or that an MBA would be cool, but the debt would be not cool…you should do this. It’s a lot of work, but you will not regret it.
I’m not even into business but this seems interesting.
Today is a big day - one of the biggest in the short-ish history of our small-ish company. For the past year (37 years in Internet time), we’ve been working nonstop on a project that we’ve desperately wanted to tell you about. Because, frankly, it’s all about you. Our willpower muscles are pretty much at the breaking point right now, and so we are doubly ecstatic to finally let the tiger out of the satchel and make this officially official announcement: We built you a new Vimeo.
To learn more about these new big things in more detail, head over to vimeo.com/new. It’s also the place where members can sign up to try the new Vimeo as we roll it out over the next few weeks. Go ahead - you know you want to check it out!
I can’t really put into words how excited I am about this. This redesign has been the most insane/massive/incredible/crazy/fun/inspiring project we’ve ever worked on and we’re all extremely proud of it. Big ups to Sox, who basically initiated and designed the backbone of this whole project in his “spare” time.
Hope you like it!
Some of my favorite people made an awesome thing even awesomer. Congrats Vimeo!

Star Wars Uncut has always been incomplete without this. I’m very excited and proud to release the entire film. Watch it over the weekend for guaranteed LOLs and nostalgia.
Star Wars Uncut: Director’s Cut
Finally, the crowd-sourced project has been stitched together and put online for your streaming pleasure. The Director’s Cut is a feature-length film that contains hand-picked scenes from the entire StarWarsUncut.com collection.
Many thanks to Aaron Valdez (video editor) and Bryan Pugh (sound design/mixing) for the countless hours they put into this masterpiece.
The Story:
In 2009, thousands of Internet users were asked to remake “Star Wars: A New Hope” into a fan film, 15 seconds at a time. Contributors were allowed to recreate scenes from Star Wars however they wanted. Within just a few months SWU grew into a wild success. The creativity that poured into the project was unimaginable.
SWU has been featured in documentaries, news features and conferences around the world for its unique appeal. In 2010 we won a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Creative Achievement In Interactive Media.
We can’t thank everyone enough for making this such a special project.
So great to see this all together!! Congrats Casey

can y’all tell I’m into rap lately? This one’s got a Menomena sample so there’s some indie hidden there.
Attention Designers! GroupMe is Hiring!
We are a small, passionate team of dedicated people working on a product that we love. We spend our days in a sunlight-filled loft near Union Square in Manhattan. At night, we sing karaoke sometimes. Basically, we love our jobs, and we have a lot of fun doing them.
We are looking for someone with ambition, confidence, bold opinions, and talent, whose primary responsibilities will involve collaborating with our designers and engineers in order to flesh out product ideas from early wireframes and sketches to pixel-perfect final designs.
In addition, responsibilities will include supporting other departments in all design functions: presentations, spreadsheets, marketing materials, whatever. You should feel comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Applicants should have an online portfolio that includes work that is beautiful and usable, demonstrating a love for tight detailing and impeccable typography. Ideally, it should show off your work in a range of platforms (web, mobile, tablets, print) and applications (sites, apps, branding, marketing). Any coding experience would be a major plus, as well as any motion graphics, video editing, or illustration skills.
We can’t wait to see what you have to show us!
Send your work to kevin@groupme.com
Dave taught me where the phrase “razzle dazzle” came from the other day. This is my new favorite fact.
